James “Jim” G. Archer, 55, of Manchester, formerly of South Windsor died unexpectedly on November 7, 2017. Jim was the son of Jacqueline (Wetherell) Archer-Sheehan and the late John Archer. Jim was raised in South Windsor and graduated from South Windsor High School in 1980. He was a skilled Craftsman who built Cabinets and Stairs. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Jim loved cooking, the New York Giants and his favorite Yellow Lab Kallie. In addition to his mother Jackie, Jim leaves behind his brothers; Joseph Archer and his wife Karen of South Windsor, and the Rev. Jeffrey Archer of Natick MA. He also leaves behind his step father Matthew Sheehan, Nieces; Lauren Bent, and Jordan Archer as well as his five step sisters, Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church 673 Ellington Rd. South Windsor on Saturday, November 11, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Wapping Cemetery in South Windsor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
