Harry Benjamin Minich, Jr. died peacefully in Avon Health Center, Avon, CT in his 88th year. Harry was born in Brookville, PA, on December 3, 1929 to Harry B. Minich Sr. and Mabel née Brinkley. One of six siblings, the family moved to the Bradford, PA area. After graduating from Bradford High School, Harry joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in England. During his time in the service, he met Anne Jennings of London, England. They were married in England in 1953, and twin sons were born there in 1954. The family returned to Bradford, PA in September 1954, when Harry joined Allegheny Airlines as a Station Agent and was quickly promoted to Manager for Allegheny at the Bradford McKean Airport. A daughter was born to the couple in 1960, and in 1967 Harry was promoted to Manager for U.S. Air at Bradley Field in Windsor Locks, Ct. He served in that capacity until his retirement in 1990. A devoted family man, Harry loved the outdoors and was most at home hunting or fishing with his brothers and his sons. He is survived by Anne Minich, his brother Herbert Minich of Bradford, Pa., daughter Lesley Minich of West Hartford, sons Stephen (Lore) Minich of Avon, and Mark (Kerry) Minich of Potomac, MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren Megan, Jennifer, Mark Jr., John, Colin, Brendan, and great grandchildren Emery, Jane, Liam and Camilla, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was dearly loved by his family for his kindness, gentleness, and patience. Slow to anger and quick to love, Harry will remain in our hearts forever. His family will receive friends at 2 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. A service will follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton.
