Charlie F. Adams, 83, of Bloomfield, beloved husband of the late Joyce (Eddy) Adams, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 09, 2017. Born in Axton, VA to the late Gus and Anna Lee (Martin) Adams, he served his country proudly with the US Army during the Korean War and has been a Bloomfield resident for over 30 years. Charlie worked as a truck driver and appreciated the simple things in life like planting flowers and vegetables in his garden, watching soap operas and taking walks. He is survived by his daughter Lafrance Dillard; his son Ricky Dillard; his grandchildren, Joshua Coonsradt, Toni Marie Hache, Anthony Adams, Alexander Adams and Christian Dillard; and his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Christian, Andres and Angelina. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son Anthony L. Adams and three brothers. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM Monday, August 14 at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor, followed by burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. His family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday, from 11 AM to 12 PM.
