Carol Ann (Hardick) Tripp, 71, of South Windsor, beloved wife of Roger G. Tripp, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 8, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born on December 21, 1946 in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Vernon and Marion (St. Peter) Hardick. Carol grew up in Enfield and graduated from Enfield High School in 1965. She was married to the love of her life, Roger Tripp three days later. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 7 years. A resident of South Windsor for over 50 years she will be remembered as a caring, loving, and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who always put others ahead of herself. Carol’s home was always open to her children’s friends, neighborhood children, and anyone who came by. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and crafts. She attended services and was active at the First Congregational Church of South Windsor. She was also very active with the family support group for Military families, and organizing Veteran’s care packages. Along with her husband, Roger of over 52 years, she leaves her sons, Mark Tripp and his wife Christine of Vernon, and David Tripp and his wife Susan of Suffield; her sisters, Kathleen Connors and her husband Michael of Lancaster, NH, and Barbara Sergienko of Enfield; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, Andrew, Chelsea, Dylan, Ethan, and Tyce; her great grandchildren, Aubree, Avery, and Chase; and her sister-in-law, Debra Hardick of Seabrook Island, SC. She also leaves many loving niece's and nephews. She is predeceased by her sons, Roger G. Tripp Jr., Brian T. Tripp and her brother, Kenneth Hardick. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, 10 a.m., at the First Congregational Church of South Windsor, 993 Main Street, South Windsor. Burial will be private at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to : House of Heros, 3000 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518.
