Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Linda (Derick) Haley, 72, of Newington, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her home. She was the wife of Wayne G. Haley for 50 years. Born in Harrisburg, PA, daughter of the late Samuel and Bernice (Whitmore) Derick, she was raised in Farmington and attended Weber Junior College. Linda was a Newington resident since 1968 and was formerly employed at Hoffman Auto Group and Loctite Corp. Linda was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Besides her husband, Wayne, she leaves her son David Haley of Hartford, her daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Mark DiChiara her two beloved grandchildren Jennifer and Nathan, all of Burlington, her brother and sister-in-law John and Donna Derick of Farmington. Family and friends are invited to call at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington on Thursday from 4-7:00 p.m., with a funeral service, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private. i was a volunteer for meals on wheels and I use to deliver Linda's and Wayne's meals to them. For the few moments I was there it was always a pleasure talking to both of them. Linda is now in my prayers. A very friendly and good hearted person. May she rest in peace
