Condolence & Memory Journal

To my big brother...still having a hard time believing you are no longer with us..I have many fond memories growing up as the "little sister" which will never be forgotten, wish we spent more time together in the past years...though I won't ever forget the look on your face when I just showed up on your doorstep... your face was priceless !!! and you asked... "what are you doing here ?" I said I googled you and here I am...we both laughed....I said never under estimate your little sister...you got quite the kick out of that....I enjoyed that visit very much....You will be missed very much but knowing your with mom gives me a little comfort...I love you big brother....forever in my heart...R.I.P.

Harvey, I thank our God that we ended this part of our journey with you and Mary living in Florida so close to Janice and I. It was Sep 23, 1978, that we first met at the Baptist Church Men's breakfast. We introduced our wives that night as we went to the Sanford Barn. How many great times did we have? We all joked over these 40 years about writing a book about our episodes. Christopher 5 years old at Oakridge Camp, my getting stomach sick while we camped in Rhode Island. Harvey, the other time we camped at Oakridge you spent the night by the bathroom. What about March 28, 1979, when we with our wives started out for a long weekend in PA but Three Mile Island occurred so we instead drive north to Niagra Falls. The many trips to MA with JohnyMay. Taking my full-size gas grill in the station wagon to the Holiday Inn in MA and cooking burger and dogs behind the hotel. Our many trips to WDW for our two birthdays. Our palm tree at Aruba Beach Cafe in Lauderdale by the Sea. The many times Janice and I with our 2 toddlers slept in front of your fireplace in Northford. So much more in between but I will end with this past summer when you and Mary lived near us in Ft Lauderdale and we slept 3 nights at your condo as Hurricane Irma hit us. It's a long book, my friend, new chapters won't be added until I join you with Our LORD as He redeemed both of us in HIS mercy and grace. I love you, my friend and buddy. My life here will never be the same. Of course, we will help your darling wife, Mary as we love you both. I know above all that is what you would want to know.
