My condolences to John's family. We grew up together on Akron Street, two houses from each other. Didn't like to play basketball against John because he always beat me. God Bless.

My condolences to John's family. John and I go back 73 years. Saw him annually at our small "Dutch Hill" gathering, albeit he missed our last two. I was truly saddened to read about his passing. John is in heaven enjoying his beloved cigars again.

Dear Varley Family et al:
My deepest sympathy on the passing of my old buddy John "The Big Cat"! We had a great friendship and sports connection going back to his Wilcox Tech days and also from his softball days and his time in the National Guard. John was a great person always with that smile and great laugh.
Rest in peace "Big Cat" you will be missed!
