Tribute & Message From The Family

Diane L. Krivickas, 57, lifelong resident of South Windsor, passed away at Hartford Hospital on November 9, 2017. She was born in Hartford to Dorothy Jurgelas Krivickas and George Krivickas on January 13, 1960. Diane was a graduate of SWHS Class of 1978 and went on to earn her Associates Degree from Springfield College. She worked as a dispatcher with Rocky Hill PD, retiring in 2015. Diane was warm-hearted, sweet, compassionate, and a friend to all. She spent much of her time volunteering for South Windsor EMT and F.I.S.H. and was a proud member of the Middletown Elks. She loved to read and had a great sense of humor. Diane is survived by her mother Dorothy Krivickas, her brother G. Thomas Krivickas and his wife Michele, of South Windsor, sisters, Carol Barrett and her husband Tom, of South Windsor, and Catherine Treacy and her husband Patrick, of Glastonbury. She was loved and adored by her nieces and nephews, Tim (Angela), Christopher (Kristen), and Erin Barrett; Stephen and Annie Treacy; Sarah Krivickas and great niece and nephew Lila and Will Barrett, along with many dear friends and extended family members. Diane was predeceased by her father George Krivickas. A Mass of Christian Burial is being held on Monday, November 13, directly at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Broad Brook. Calling Hours are being held on Sunday, November 12, at Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 20 Batterson Park Road, 3rd Floor, Farmington, CT 06032. Diane was an important part of my life when we "ran together" at South Windsor Ambulance Corps. She was a wonderful friend, a very trusted and gifted team member, and an admired mentor for me and many others.

My cherished memories of Diane will live with me forever.

Dot and family. I am so sad to learn of Diane's passing. She was such a caring and loving person. I recall seeing her many times with the Ambulance Corps, while I was working for South Windsor.
