I was fortunate to have Mr. McCausland as a teacher in 1981. What stood out most to me was his compassion for his students and for people in general. I remember him taking a collection for a student who unfortunately lost a leg in a motorcycle accident. He even went to the hospital to visit this student. He was truly a kind gentle soul! He will be sadly missed!
My prayer and sincere condolences to his entire family!
RIP Mr. McCausland

My deepest sympathy to the McCausland family. Back in the year 2000, I was a student teacher for Mike and the lessons he taught me remain to this day. Thank you Mike, for the most meaningful teaching experience I ever had. God bless you.

I feel blessed to have known and worked with Mike for many years at HPHS. He gave his all, both in the classroom and with his precious seniors. They have wonderful, lifelong memories because of Mike's tireless efforts with Senior Week, the Senior Prom, the yearbook...and incidents of individual help without number. He was one of a kind and it is heartbreaking that he won't have happy retirement years. Sincerest condolences to his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
