I am sorry for your loss. I only met Evelyn once, but she made an impression on my family that will last forever. My son was diagnosed with Leukemia in 1993. Evelyn sent cards to my son although she did not know him. One day she showed up at my house unexpected to meet him. Unfortunately he had grown up and moved away. We had a nice little visit. Evelyn has been my pen pal for 26 years ever since I was a child with cancer. She never missed a birthday and was always a joy to write to. I am sorry for your loss but happy that I had the chance to share in her life.

Just learned yesterday from my mom, who still lives in CT, that she thought she'd seen Evelyn's obituary in the Hartford Courant. I checked and of course found she was right. Evelyn will forever be remembered by her MS Senior America/Cameo Club Sisters for various reasons and was instrumental in assuring a meeting site for our monthly meetings at her church. She was indeed the beautiful Clown who made us laugh when we felt like crying. Thank you for your love Evelyn and we promise to pass it on in every way we can.

Darryl & Bruce: So very sorry for the loss of your dear mother. She was a great example of a life well-lived as she cared for everyone but herself; especially entertaining as a clown ! May God comfort you at this difficult time.

My family and I were so fortunate to have had Evelyn become a part of ours. Her enthusiasm and excitement were always so apparent on her face. We will cherish our memories of her, especially the wonderful trip we took with her and our Uncle Bobby to South Carolina. All our condolences. Sincerely, Donna, Diana, Laura, Gerry, Billy, Greg, Roman, and Gerry (Pernigotti).
